The Montessori Academy offers an authentic, developmentally appropriate education for children aged 6 to 15 years. Guided by the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, our school provides a thoughtfully prepared environment where children develop independence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning.
We are recognised under the Maharashtra Self-Financed Schools Act and follow the internationally respected Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) framework, while aligning with the National Curriculum Framework of India and Cambridge learning objectives. Our hands-on, experiential approach helps children move seamlessly from concrete to abstract understanding across subjects like language, mathematics, science, cultural studies, and practical life skills. The Montessori Academy is also a Flagship School of the Indian Montessori Foundation.
What makes us different is our multi-age and child-led learning environments, and deep commitment to inclusion and diversity. Our teachers are trained Montessori professionals who carefully observe and guide each child based on their unique developmental needs. We also work closely with families through parent education sessions and open communication to ensure each child thrives at school and at home.
At TMA, we believe that education is not just preparation for college, but preparation for life.
1. What Makes Us Different
At The Montessori Academy, learning is hands-on, joyful, and deeply meaningful. Children work at their own pace in mixed-age classrooms, guided by trained educators who respect each child’s individuality and curiosity.
2. Our Community
We are more than a school — we are a community. Parents, educators, and children work together in an environment built on trust, respect, and shared purpose. Diversity is welcomed, inclusion is intentional, and collaboration is constant.
3. Why Montessori Works
Montessori education takes into account children’s developmental needs and characteristics and sets the stage for development to unfurl naturally, resulting in children giving their best to an education they enjoy.
